Starting Out :
After deciding to become an Avon Representative it took very few steps to get everything up and running. I simply went online and put in some basic details to which I immediately relieved a reply saying that my Local Sales Leader will contact me regarding my request to start Avon.
A few moments later my phone was ringing and it was my Local Sales Leader aka Up Liner. She straight away seemed very friendly and we arranged a time and day for either her or her husband to come round to my house and help set me up. ( Avon is no longer purely a woman's company )
The next day my Up Liner arrived very promptly. He was well suited and polite. It was great to chat to someone who wasn't all business and seemed to want to get to know me as well as help me out. As I was now becoming apart of his team it was very reassuring that he was friendly and helpful.
The process of getting set up only took around 30 minutes and everything was explained very simply and I was also given a few leaflets to read through I case I forgot anything along with his number and email address for if/when I needed some help or advice.
To try out Avon is totally free. No catches. So if you have a go and decide it's not for you so therefore do not place an order, you do not get charged any fees at all. If you get on well and do place orders then you are charged a start up fee of only £15 and this is split over your first two orders as not to take much out of your earnings.
At this point people generally think that it's the books that will eat away at your earnings but they couldn't be more wrong. Yes, you do have to buy the books and yes, you do have to get new books every campaign ( 3 weeks ) but there are bonuses that come with this. One being that you can always back order one campaign so you can use books for two campaigns if you wish. Also books come in packs of 20, your first pack will cost just under £5 but then each additional pack is just 50p!
When it comes to your commission, this too is very good, in fact, it's the highest of all door to door sales companies. Each campaign you have a goal, these are known as the MOV ( minimum order value ) and the HOV ( higher order value ) if you reach the MOV which is £80 you will receive commission of 20%, once you reach the HOV which is £150 you will receive a commission of 25%. These are very easy targets to reach.
Once you have your orders all the rest is done via your online account so there's no messing around with paperwork!
Avon also now have a unique link for each of there representatives. This link can be given to any customers and also used to advertise for more customers online via social networking sites. When someone clicks in your link it directs them to the latest online brochure where they can place their order. This order then get sent directly to you. This means that, if you wish, you don't even need to use books!
Avon couldn't be simpler or cheaper to join!
